Many citizens who live in the Houston area may not be familiar with national wildlife refuges, but that is about to change! The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Urban Wildlife Refuge Initiative is drawing together diverse, local partners to help the Service connect urban residents, especially young people, to the great outdoors and to America’s national wildlife refuges!
