Tracking Wildlife At McNary National Wildlife Refuge
Discover and identify animal tracks on guided walks with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Ranger Jaynee. Look for animal interactions; learn how to read wildlife "happenings" by studying tracks and signs. Practice walking like a raccoon and hopping like a rabbit. Listen to the sounds made by these mysterious creatures of the night. Participants can also draw their own animal track impressions inside the classroom. Join us at McNary National Wildlife Refuge for Second Saturday on Saturday, December 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Guided walks start at: 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00a.m. Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Mid-Columbia River Wildlife Refuges and is free to the public.
The McNary National Wildlife Refuge Education Center is located at 311 Lake Road in Burbank, WA. From the Tri-Cities, go east on I-182 and US Highway 12 to Burbank. At the Humorist Road stoplight, turn left. Turn left on Lake Road and travel
