About Ed Lemieux

John "Ed" Lemieux is an enrolled member of the Quinault Indian Nation. After receiving welding certification at Bates College, Ed worked as a welder in the Bremerton shipyards. Seeking another career opportunity Ed returned to the Quinault area where he worked falling trees on what now is the Moclips Highway. Shortly thereafter, Ed began his career with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at the hatchery. For over 48 years Ed has been the fish culturist orchestrating the four species fish rearing program.
