About Desiree Moore, M.S.

Desiree Moore is a threatened and endangered species research biologist. Her research focus is on the ecology and conservation of rare or at-risk stream organisms. Desiree’s thesis work examined movement patterns and developed relationships between flow regime characteristics and occupancy probability of freshwater pelagic broadcast spawning minnows, with emphasis on the federally threatened Arkansas River shiner. Additionally, she is experienced in several tagging and species collection techniques. Desiree has presented her research at several meetings and participates in outreach programs targeting minority students.
