About Braden West
Braden West began working at the San Marcos Aquatic Resources Center in September 2020 as a Biological Science Technician and is now a Biologist in the Edwards Aquifer Refugia Program. He performs research and maintenance on captive assurance populations of spring-obligate threatened and endangered species including Comal Springs riffle beetle, Texas blind salamander, and Peck’s cave amphipod. Braden serves as a data management ambassador and is a representative of SMARC in the data management community of practice. Mr. West previously worked conducting biomonitoring surveys for stream fish and macroinvertebrates in North Dakota and Minnesota.
