Cooperative Agriculture Opportunities at Red River National Wildlife Refuge

Red River National Wildlife Refuge near Melrose, Louisiana, has cooperative agriculture opportunities for farming on two units for up to five years. The first unit is approximately 450 acres and the second is approximately 1,000 acres. Crops are allowed, including rice, milo, and millet. Neonicotinoid seed treatments are not allowed.

To be considered, applicants must complete and submit a bid form. Bid forms are available in person from the refuge headquarters at 150 Eagle Bend Point, Bossier City, LA 71112 or electronically by email request to pat_stinson@fws.gov. Applications must be received by December 2, 2022. Applications may be submitted by email to pat_stinson@fws.gov or submitted by mail or hand delivery to the refuge headquarters.

Cooperator(s) will be selected through an open and competitive process. All applicants will be notified by January 20, 2023.
