The Refuge works in partnership with local schools, business, and civic groups in providing talks and programs highlighting environmental education.  Highlights of our partnerships include working with Sylvan Heights Waterfowl Center on summer programs for local youth; presenting a viewing of North Carolina’s Federal Junior Duck Stamp Art Contest winning artwork; working with the Partnership for the Sounds Roanoke-Cashie River Center on environmental education programs and camps; working with Scouts as Merit Badge Counselors; and working in the local schools providing environmental education programs and presenting at Career Opportunities Programs. Contact the refuge for additional information about environmental education opportunities.
