Flathead chub

Flathead chubs are elongate, streamlined minnows with small eyes, a large, slightly oblique mouth and sickle-shaped, pointed, perctoral fins Their broad flattened heads appear wedge-shaped in profile. The color of adult fish can be light brown, dusky olive, or black above with silvery sides and stomachs. It is a species of concern for the state of Missouri.
