East Maui Forest NPS EA Adoption

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service proposes to adopt the U.S. National Park Service’s Final Environmental Assessment (EA) entitled “Suppression of Invasive Mosquito Populations to Reduce Transmission of Avian Malaria to Threatened and Endangered Forest Birds on East Maui.” The Service has conducted its independent evaluation and determined the EA meets all the requirements for adoption. The statements and conclusions reached in this FWS Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) are based on documentation and analysis provided in the NPS EA.
