At the Private John Allen National Fish Hatchery grounds are open to the public so visitors can walk around and view ponds that are in production, view the Historic Managers Residence, participate in wildlife watching, and birding. Interpretive signs are also located on the grounds which discuss the hatchery, production, our history, etc. The Natchez Trace Parkway Visitor Center is also located approximately 8 miles from the hatchery which provides hiking, biking, and plenty of outdoor opportunities as well.
