Each year Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge partners with the City of Virginia Beach and others to bring you the Winter Wildlife Festival. This year the festival is happy to bring back in-person events, the Exhibit Hall and expanded workshops.
Key components of the festival include the keynote event by Jennifer Ackerman, the Birding Challenge contest and a photography contest. Here at Back Bay NWR we are hosting a Winter Waterfowl Walk on Saturday morning, tram tours on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning and a story walk.
