Public Hearing on the Proposed Listing of the Amur Sturgeon

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) held a virtual public hearing on April 19, 2022, from 6:00 – 7:30pm Eastern Time (ET). The virtual public hearing provided the public an additional opportunity to provide input on the proposed rule to list the Amur Sturgeon as an endangered species under the Endangered Species Act.

The Service held the virtual public hearing via the Zoom online platform so that participants could attend remotely by computer or phone. The virtual public hearing started with a brief presentation by Service staff followed by an opportunity for attendees to provide their verbal comments on the proposed listing. Commenters had an allotted time period to provide comments, and the order of commenters was based on registration.

In addition, public comments were accepted electronically or via U.S. mail. Comments previously submitted need not be resubmitted and will be fully considered. Information on the proposed listing and how to comment is available at: https://www.regulations.gov/document/FWS-HQ-ES-2020-0100-0001.
