The Big Oaks Conservation Society will host an Ice Cream Social on Aug. 7 at the historic Oakdale Schoolhouse, a one room stone schoolhouse built in 1869. There will be short tours through the schoolhouse at the beginning of the event then homemade ice cream and desserts will be served. To get to the schoolhouse follow directional signs from the refuge Office on JPG Niblo Road. For more information call the refuge Office at 812-273-0783
