Friday Night at the Refuge Presentation - Glorified Dinosaurs: The Origin and Early Evolution of Birds

The Salmon Creek Unit will stay open, after 5pm, until 8pm or dusk. Come for a walk along the Shorebird Loop during the evening hours.

Join us at 7:00 p.m. at the Visitor Center for a free presentation titled "Glorified Dinosaurs: The Origin & Early Evolution of Birds"

Everyone loves birds. They reward our attention on walks with constant discoveries in variety and color. Presenter Elliott Dabill will reveal some global findings of the last 20 years that promise to enrich what you know about birds. We are in the Golden Age of dinosaur exposition, especially of the dinosaurs that are birds. Elliott, an experienced local natural and cultural history tour leader, has been quite interested in dinosaurs for decades. He even drove 5,000 miles to celebrate retirement visiting Western U.S. dinosaur museums. The deeper you delve into our knowledge about dinosaurs, the more topics are touched upon.
