Free Film - "The Lorax"

5-6:30 pm  All ages. 

Short film (25 minutes), with light refreshments provided by Friends of Patuxent. Also: free native plants & info on container gardening for pollinators. 

Guests from Friends of Patuxent will share how they and members of the public can and do support the nature found at Patuxent Research Refuge. Also, Jemima Clark, the Maryland Coordinator of Project Learning Tree and an environmental literacy coordinator for MAEOE will share how young people in Maryland care for the environment in meaningful ways. 

The film is a 1972 adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ 1971 children’s book of the same name, a parable about preserving nature.
