Discover the stories of trees! Join us as we explore the oak savanna during this naturalist-guided walk, exploring what stories can trees tell us, observing our restoration effort and discussing the history and native species that are benefiting from the restoration. As we walk the savanna we will look for bumble bees, butterflies and flowers. We will learn how to measure a tree, core a log and take in the vista of rapids lake from the top of bluff. All are welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration Information: No registration required.
Activity Level: Easy-active, we will walk through the prairie then into the oak savanna. Some areas will/may have tall plants.
Meet Us: In the North Hunter parking lot
What to Bring: Long pants and closed toe-shoes or boots to walk through tall grasses, bug spray, water and snack. Event is rain or shine, please be prepared with the appropriate outerwear.
Accessibility: Restrooms are located in the parking lot. Trail surface will be unlevel with some grasses, weeds, stumps and trees. Some areas may have tall weeds with ticks, be prepared.
