SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVES:

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (Online) aligns with timeless principles of effectiveness with modern technology and practices. The path to sustained and lasting success is possible when individuals can effectively lead themselves, influence, engage and collaborate with others, and continually improve and renew their capabilities. Learners will complete eight online, self-paced mini-courses over an eight-week period. Learners are expected to complete and practice one mini-course each week. Each mini-course takes about 30 to 60 minutes to complete.

They are the following:

  1. The7 Habits - Paradigms and Principles of Effectiveness
  2. The 7 Habits - Habit 1: Be Proactive
  3. The 7 Habits - Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind
  4. The 7 Habits - Habit 3: Put First Things First
  5. The 7 Habits - Habit 4: Think Win-Win
  6. The 7 Habits - Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood
  7. The 7 Habits - Habit 6: Synergize
  8. The 7 Habits - Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People (Online Delivery) also includes three (3) one-hour virtual webinars-one the beginning, one at the mid-point, and one at the end. The first webinar is an orientation to the course. The second and third webinars are check-ins to share lessons learned and best practices on how the participants are applying the habits at work and beyond.

Behaviors of effectiveness take root within organizations when learners have an opportunity to share with each other how they specifically apply to their day-to-day work. These "check-in" sessions are intended to be open dialog forums where learners can discuss key learnings, "a ha" moments, best practices, challenges, barriers, and opportunities as they work to embed the 7 Habits principles into their personal and professional lives.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Increase personal effectiveness by incorporating habits that build character and competence through consistent practice.
  • Develop increased maturity, greater productivity, and the ability to manage oneself.
  • Execute critical priorities with focus and careful planning.
  • Increase team engagement, morale, and collaboration. Improve communication skills and strengthen relationships.
  • Create a framework for developing core values and creating a highly effective culture.
