About This Position
Volunteer Opportunity – Visitor Center Host
Tule Lake National Wildlife Refuge, Tulelake, California
We are seeking volunteers to serve as Visitor Center Hosts. Duties include greeting and orienting visitors, answering telephones and information requests, opening and closing the center, and performing light maintenance and cleaning of visitor areas.
Volunteers should be enthusiastic about serving the public, able to communicate with diverse audiences, and eager to learn. No prior experience is required. Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license. On-site orientation, training, and uniforms will be provided and required while on duty. Hours requirements are 21 hrs. per week. Exact start and end dates are flexible.
