Raccoon Family

A raccoon (Procyon lotor) family has time together walking around Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge. You can bet this raccoon family is looking for food. They are voracious eaters and eat just about anything they can get their paws on. Some of their favorite foods are - frogs, fish, crayfish, blueberries, acorns, pecans, bird eggs, crabs, mice, persimmons, snakes and mussels, just to name a few
