About Mike Budd

Mike Budd is the project leader at Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge and the Morris Wetland Management District. Mike began his career with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as a private lands biologist in South Arkansas, later becoming the private lands state coordinator, in Illinois. He moved to Minnesota in 2021 for the quality outdoor recreational opportunities and for the chance to help manage and secure land for wildlife and for public land users. His career passions are wetland and waterfowl management, land protection and public land access.
