About Emily Jones
My name is Emily Jones. I am a native Texan, born and raised in Austin. I am an alum of Bryn Mawr College and the Williams-Mystic Coastal and Ocean Studies Program, where I majored in Biology. For my senior thesis, I wrote a research paper on the decline and conservation of endangered sturgeon. After I graduated, I took an internship with the Archbold Biological Station. There, I assisted with a project on the eco-evolutionary effects of genetic drift and gene flow in stressful environments in eastern mosquitofish populations with Dr. Sarah Fitzpatrick and Dr. Jessica Judson. While there, I also completed an independent project on the heat and cold tolerance of eastern mosquitofish across two freshwater habitats. In my free time, I like to draw cartoons, make themed music playlists, and play crafting and creature collecting video games!
