About Elizabeth Labunski

Liz Labunski is a seabird biologist with the Division of Migratory Bird Management in Alaska. She graduate from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry and the University of Alaska Anchorage with degrees in Wildlife Biologist and Geographic Information Systems (GIS Mapping). She has been with the MBM program since 2001, where she has coordinated research projects in the Arctic, Bering Sea and Gulf of Alaska to further the conservation of seabirds. Current research projects: Northern Gulf of Alaska Long-term Ecological Research Program, Offshore Seabird Surveys in the Arctic, and Status and Trends of Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Injured Seabirds in Kachemak Bay.
