About David R. Stewart Ph.D.
David is a mathematical statistician who studies how to use statistics to answer questions about the environment. He's especially interested in understanding species that are rare, decreasing in number, or economically valuable but not well-managed. David reviews and scrutinizes historical research methods, studies the utility of different experimental designs to inform conservation and management, and develops mathematical models to inform species viability. He also tests new statistical techniques to develop objective-based questions.
