The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will take public comment on a Draft Compatibility Determination for rights-of-way (ROW) and rights of access at Tallahatchie National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) from April 20 through May 4, 2026. The proposed ROW at Tallahatchie NWR would expand an existing ROW to provide the space needed for a bridge replacement project on Hayward-Jacks Road in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi. The bridge provides access to the southern portion of Tallahatchie NWR. The Draft Compatibility Determination will be available at the North Mississippi Refuges Complex Headquarters at 2776 Sunset Drive, Grenada, MS 38901. For more information you may contact refuge manager Amber Floyd at 662-226-8286 or amber_floyd@fws.gov.
