Refuge waters south of Mississippi Highway 8 are open to fishing year-round, offering opportunities to harvest crappie, largemouth bass, bluegill and catfish in Tippo Bayou and Long Branch. Boat ramps for both fishing areas are accessible from Highway 8. A fishing pier provides bank fishing access at the Long Branch ramp. Smaller gravel ramps can be found along Horsebarn Loop. Anglers must possess a valid North Mississippi Refuge Complex Hunting and Fishing permit. See the current North Mississippi Refuges Complex Hunting and Fishing Regulations brochure for more information. State creel limits and boating regulations apply.
