Wildlife viewing is available year-round and each season brings something different. Be sure to bring your binoculars or camera. Mornings and evenings are usually the best times to see wildlife. During spring and fall migrations, hundreds of thousands of snow geese gather in the area to rest and feed. Baby deer, ducks, grebes, and other young can be seen in the summer months along with frogs, turtles, snakes, and a host of insect life. In winter, you may be lucky enough to watch a snowy owl swoop in on its prey or see the white-tailed deer gathered to feed through the snow.
