Student uses binoculars to look for birds on the refuge

There is a Wildlife Drive located just beyond the visitor center, where visitors can access the observation tower to view wildlife on the Demonstration Area, open from March 1 through October 31. Visitors can also view wildlife on many of the hiking trails throughout the refuge. Be sure to be quiet while going into locations to view wildlife. Animals are most active during the early mornings and late evening. Make sure to know the open hours for each trail.
