The Crosby Wetland Management District is a great place to take photos, whether you wield a smartphone or a zoom lens.

A variety of attractive wildflowers can be found from spring to fall in many areas of the District, especially those that contain healthy native prairie.

Several unique grassland birds can be found here as well, such as Baird's sparrows, grasshopper sparrows, chestnut-collared longspurs and bobolinks. Waterfowl flock to the wetlands scattered throughout the District, creating excellent photo opportunities.

The sunrises and sunsets along the seemingly endless horizon are also a treat to capture, and provide dramatic lighting for a variety of shots.
