Model Bulding Codes Meeting the "Substantially Equivalent" Requirement

The following model building codes and design standards provide a level of seismic safety substantially equivalent to that provided by the National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program (NEHRP) recommended provisions in effect at the time. Buildings that were designed and constructed in conformance with these codes at the time that these codes were in effect generally provide the minimum seismic performance acceptable to the U.S Fish & Wildlife Service.
