Waterfall small cascade from pond

Water rushes from a pond at the Pine Mountain Preserve near the headwaters of the Mad River in Norfolk, Connecticut. The land is part of the Norfolk Land Trust and has been protected with the assistance of grants obtained through the Highlands Conservation Act. Like many properties throughout the Highlands Region, public access has been granted to allow for recreational use of the hiking trails.
