A moose moves through a pond at Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska. Of the 932,000 acres within the boundaries of Tetlin Refuge, 682,604 acres are managed by Tetlin Refuge. The rest are owned by the state of Alaska or private citizens. The refuge's 682,604 acres include snowcapped mountains and glacier-fed rivers, forests, and treeless tundra and an abundance of wetlands.
