Jim King oral history interview as conducted by Mark Madison and Mary Lou King. Jim King was the first refuge manager at Clarence Rhode National Wildlife Refuge, which is now Yukon Delta. He also did the first report on a seabird colony at Cape Newenham, resulting in a refuge there. Jim flew all over Alaska doing surveys, and became supervisor of Alaska Waterfowl Investigations. Jim invented the banding process and banded some 20,000 diving ducks.
