Franklin Tree (Franklinia). Extinct in wild. Last wild specimen seen in late 1800s when collected by Botanist John Bartram on SE coast of Georgia to try and propagate. Never any luck returning to the wild, but a thousand or so now exist in botanical gardens worldwide. Member of the Tea Family with close relatives in China.
