Dr. Robert J. Shallenberger oral history interview as conducted by Jerry Grover. Dr. Shallenberger joined the Fish and Wildlife Service in 1980, and would retire in 2002. He would eventually become Chief of Refuges before returning to the field to work on Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge.
