CPS Energy Habitat Conservation Plan

The CPS Energy Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) is designed to minimize potential impacts to endangered species from power transmission and gas line construction and maintenance across their service area, which is mostly in and around the City of San Antonio, Texas. The HCP addresses eight federally endangered karst invertebrates and one bird (golden-cheeked warbler). This HCP takes a programmatic approach to Endangered Species Act (ESA) compliance, maximizing conservation benefits for species while streamlining the permitting process and providing regulatory assurances.
