Chupadera springsnails (in the photo they appear as tiny black dots on the orange sampling title) were surveyed within their desert spring habitat, within the northern Chihuahuan Desert in Socorro County, New Mexico. These freshwater snails are about 0.06 to 0.12 inches (1.6 to 3 millimeters) long.
