Carl Melberg was a Land Acquisition Planner for the Fish and Wildlife Service at the Regional Office in Hadley, Massachusetts at the time of the establishment of the Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge. He explains the role that he and the Fish and Wildlife Service played in helping establish the refuge.
