About this Collection

Big Stone National Wildlife Refuge is proposing to allow a Right-of-Way across the refuge from the L.G. Everist quarry to the Minnesota River. This right-of-way request, approximately 135 feet long and 50 feet in width, would allow a temporary pipeline to transport water from the Minnesota River to the quarry for washing rocks and controlling dust.

Beginning today and running through May 30th, you’re invited to review and comment on the draft compatibility determination document that includes justifications and analysis for this potential new use.
