About this Collection

The Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force News and Announcements is produced weekly to share information with the Invasive Species Community. The weekly newsletters include announcements, event schedules, career and funding opportunities as well as recent publications and news stories related to aquatic invasive species.

Aquatic Nuisance Species are nonindigenous species that threaten the diversity or abundance of native species, the ecological stability of infested waters, or commercial, agricultural, aquacultural, or recreational activities dependent on such waters. Aquatic nuisance species include nonindigenous species that may occur within fresh, estuarine, or marine waters and that presently or potentially threaten ecological processes or natural resources.
