AmeriCorps Service Member, Carlos Olivas, collecting a diet samples from invasive fish collected from Lake Washington in Seattle. Samples are collected using a method called gastric lavage, where water is pumped into the stomach and the contents are regurgitated. Samples are brought to our lab prey species identification and documentation.
