Fishing at Plum Tree Island NWR is only permitted from blinds 1 and 3 located near the shores of Cow Island. These structures will be shared seasonally between user groups with allowance for fishing during spring and summer months (April through August). Shoreline fishing will be prohibited. Additional locations for fishing are not offered, as there are many opportunities for fishing in adjacent State waters and non-refuge, public fishing piers and docks.
Species include flounder, bluefish, speckled trout, gray trout, red drum, Spanish mackerel, striped bass, kingfish, croaker, spot, and pompano striped bass, bluefish, bluefin tuna, Atlantic bonito, and little tunny.
