Refuge Walleye

Refuge Walleye

Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG) biologists believe non-native walleye are now established and reproducing at the Lake Lowell Unit of Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge.

Read the IDFG news release to learn more about why walleye aren't a good fit for Lake Lowell, what it might mean for the fishery at the Lake Lowell Unit, and what anglers can do to help.

Please do not release any animals or plants on the refuge!
