Spring emerges along a paper birch lined trail at Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge

Hiking at Moosehorn

Moosehorn offers a full range of hiking experiences. Traditional footpaths as well as gravel service roads provide access throughout the refuge. Each division also offers a paved handicapped accessible trail. Dogs are welcome on all hiking trails provided they are kept on a six foot leash.

BE SAFE:  Hikers are advised that cell phone service can be unreliable, especially in Wilderness Areas. The Refuge also recommends Orange Clothing for all visitors during hunting season.
