Boating - motorized at Emiquon National Wildlife Refuge

February 1 to sunset October 15 the use of motorized boats is allowed at no wake speed on all refuge waters. Boat ramps are available in Havana and the Wilder Public Use Area.
October 16-January 31, the refuge waters are closed for waterfowl sanctuary. During this time, boat use at no wake speeds are only permitted to access the hunting units.
NOTE- The Nature Conservancy's Emiquon Preserve and Thompson Lake on the East side of HWY 97/78 is privately owned and managed by the Nature Conservancy. Please contact The Nature Conservancy for their specific regulations. You must obtain a lake access permit and liability waiver.
