Law Enforcement

Officers play a role in the successful management of the Refuge and help maintain high quality visitor experiences. For any immediate criminal activity or emergency on U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service land, please contact your local authority for that area or dial 911. To report a violation, or if you have questions about Law Enforcement on the Refuge, please contact us at 406-727-7400. Wildlife crimes may also be reported to the Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks TIP MONT hotline 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668).
