Both the public comment period and the public meeting provide you with an opportunity to participate in the development of U.S. negotiating positions for the eighteenth regular meeting of the Conference of the Parties to CITES (CoP18). We invite you to submit written comments during the comment period or provide oral comments during the public meeting on documents submitted by other CITES Parties, including working documents and proposals to amend the CITES Appendices. Advance sign-up is not required to speak during the public meeting. All comments received will be considered as we prepare U.S. draft negotiating positions for CoP18.
