Conrad traces his life from childhood memories of his time growing up in Detroit,  Michigan;  moving in high school to Pentwater, Michigan;  attending Michigan State for a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and a Master’s in Resource Development;   his time in the U.S. Navy including Officer School, leadership lessons, and a moving story of injustice that influenced his determination to treat people fairly in both his Service career and law career;  his start with USFWS on Refuges with a fun story on the importance of dressing well for interviews; and his robust career which involved numerous Service programs - Refuges, Ecological Services, Fisheries, Engineering, Realty, Federal Aid, Law Enforcement, Endangered Species and Budget and Administration.   After retiring from USFWS in 1997, his second career involved obtaining his law degree, practicing as an attorney, publishing environmental articles in law journals, and becoming a published author of Christian sci-fi referencing the environmental issues we face today.
