30th Annual Rio Reforestation

30th Annual Rio Reforestation

We invite the community, our partners in this vital conservation effort, to join the United States Fish & Wildlife Service and its many Conservation Partners at the 30th Annual Rio Reforestation Event, which will be held at Milagro Tract. Together, we will be planting 15,000 native seedlings on 15 acres of farmland.  Along with the planting, educational information, promotional items, food/drinks, and interaction with our conservation partners in the Rio Grande Valley will be included. This is not just an event; it's a shared mission to preserve and restore our natural environment.
We welcome everyone who is passionate about nature and wants to contribute to preserving our planet.  This is a great way to get volunteer hours and network with conservation agencies and a fulfilling experience that leaves you with a sense of pride. Imagine the satisfaction of seeing the seedlings you planted grow into a thriving forest, knowing that you've made a tangible difference. So, mark your calendars and invite your friends, schools, and family to participate in this meaningful day. Let's make a difference together at the Rio Reforestation event and feel the satisfaction of contributing to a noble cause!  Please direct any questions to the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center at (956) 784-7500
