Target Audience:

Heat Stress Management is an important topic for all to become familiar, especially when working in a high temperature environment.

Summary and Objectives:

This heat stress awareness training teaches participants how heat affects the body, the steps they can take to prevent heat stress, and elementary first aid that can be given to a worker affected by heat-related illness. Whether they work outdoors or indoors with equipment and machinery that give off high levels of heat, workers need to know how to recognize and prevent heat stress.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize the signs, symptoms and effects of heat stress.
  • Identify the required actions for treating heat-related illness.
  • Describe the methods of preventing heat-related illness.
