Basic Job Description: Operate an agricultural tractor and riding mower. Various other tasks such as weed trimming, herbicide application and grading roads will be performed to support refuge maintenance needs. Applicants should have basic knowledge of general equipment maintenance skills such as greasing, maintaining and replenishing fluids as needed. Frequent bending, stooping, stretching and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds will be required. A valid State driver’s license is needed.
The selected applicant will start at $16.63/hr (New Orleans WG Pay Area 061R RUS). The work schedule is flexible but it will be set according to work load, weather and time of year. The position will not exceed 1039 hours of employment.
